Do you have questions about what you will experience in Kazakhstan? Are you wondering how you will still do the things you like to do while abroad?
If so, take part in this exciting opportunity to learn more about finding community abroad and share that information with your peers!
This program will kick off with a live online event. Come hear what experts have to say about their own experiences finding community while abroad!
- Start off with a presentation and panel of students who have recently been to Kazakhstan and successfully found their own sense of community while there.
- Plus, hear from Cindy Martin, Associate Professor of Russian and Russian Program Head at the University of Maryland, about how to make the best of your time abroad with her talk on “Общение по интересам!”.
- This event will be conducted in Russian with English language interpretation available for lower-level students.
- Registration is only open to students at colleges and universities with a Russian Flagship program.
At the end of the event, you will also have an opportunity to work with students of other Russian Flagship Programs who are going to Kazakhstan. To find out more information, visit the Language Flagship Technology Innovation Center website.
