Mohira Suyarkulova is an associate professor at the Department of International and Comparative Politics at the American University of Central Asia. She is a scholar, feminist and LGBT activist living and working in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Zhanar Sekerbayeva is a women human rights defender, LGBTQI+ activist and co-founder of Kazakhstan Feminist Initiative “Feminita". She is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Moderator: Feruza Aripova is a PhD Candidate in World History at Northeastern University. Her research primarily focuses on gender and sexual politics in the late Soviet era. She is based in New York City.
