Research at UCLA

For research relating to Russian and Eurasian area studies, a good place to start is the UCLA guide to library resources relating to Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies: https://guides.library.ucla.edu/slavic. (https: //guides.library.ucla.edu/slavic) UCLA is very fortunate to have a dedicated librarian/curator for Slavic, Eastern European and Eurasian Studies, Dr. Alena Aissing, aaissing@library.ucla.edu.

Many resources have become available online through HathiTrust (https: //www.hathitrust.org/)and the Pilot Emergency Temporary Digitization on Request Service (PETDOR). Check the PETDOR FAQ (https: //www.library.ucla.edu/research-teaching-support/pilot-emergency-temporary-digitization-request-petdor-service-ucla-researchers/petdor-faq) for guidance on using this service. You will need to activate a VPN or proxy server (https: //www.library.ucla.edu/use/computers-computing-services/connect-campus) in order to access these materials. The VPN proxy will also give you access to Kanopy (https: //ucla.kanopy.com/), with many movies from the Slavic, East European and Eurasian world available free of charge.

For undergraduate research opportunities with UCLA faculty in all disciplines, check the Undergraduate Research Portal: http://hass.ugresearch.ucla.edu/getting-started/portal/ (http: //hass.ugresearch.ucla.edu/getting-started/portal/)
