"As a research and translation intern at the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia in Almaty, I translated official documents, including project proposals, project descriptions, and grant applications between Russian and English. In addition, I researched and analyzed social projects and movements in different countries to act as model projects in Kazakhstan. Throughout my time there, I provided administrative support on projects in various spheres, such as youth and education, support for people with disabilities, and the development of social entrepreneurship programs. Overall, I was exposed to the various ways the Foundation works to develop and support social projects in Kazakhstan and learned a lot about the function and inner workings of a nonprofit organization."
