The Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, with the support of the UCLA Center For Mexican Studies and Cinema Culturas Film Festival, are honored to invite you to celebrate The Afro-Mexican Heritage.
BLAXICANS a multidisciplinary program that honors the Afro heritage in South Los Angeles and the South of Mexico.
Presenting the documentary NANA DIJO/ NANA SAID, produced and directed by the renowned Mexican rapper BOCAFLOJA and the MC CAMBIOWASHERE.
Showcasing the photo exhibition BLAXICANS, a graphic dialogue based on portraits of Afromexican descendants from South Los Angeles and the Coast of Oaxaca, captured by Walter Thompson and Ariel Mendoza.
