Saori Daiju
East Asian Linguistics
Saori Daiju is a Ph.D. student in East Asian Linguistics with a particular focus on Japanese Linguistics. She received her B.A. and first M.A. in English Linguistics at Keio University, and second M.A. in Japanese Linguistics at University of Alberta. Taking a usage-based approach to grammar, she examines how grammar works in everyday conversation. She also aims to investigate language uses from multimodal and interactional linguistic perspectives.
