This fund is designed to promote deeper understanding among members of the Japanese American community of their rich and diverse heritage.
The Center’s Faculty Grants Program supports individual research projects, conferences on campus, and publications.
A number of visiting faculty and scholars have been affiliated with the Center for varying lengths of time. Some visitors are in residence for the entire academic year, while others may only be on campus for a week or two. Most visiting affiliates present public lectures, offer graduate seminars, and/or conduct research on various Japan-related topics.
