Yunshuang Zhang

Yunshuang Zhang is a Ph.D. candidate majoring in Classical Chinese Literature. She received her M.A. and B.A. in Chinese Literature from Peking University, China. Her research interests center on literati culture, literary history, and material culture in the middle period China (800-1400). She works on the study of literati space and activity by means of interdisciplinary methods. Also, she is interested in comparing the literature and culture in the period from mid-Tang to Song dynasties (766-1276) of China with that in the Heian and early medieval periods (ca. 794-1250) of Japan.
