Danica Truscott
Asian Languages and Cultures
Danica Truscott is a PhD student in the Asian Languages and Cultures department at UCLA. She previously received a BA in Japanese Language from UC Berkeley and an MA in East Asian Regional Studies from Harvard University. Danica’s research interests include Nara and Heian court literature, women’s literary history, and issues concerning canonicity. Her current project focuses in particular on the works of Ōtomo no Sakanoue no Iratsume, an eighth-century poet.
