UCLA Charles E. Young Research Library Main Conference Room (Room 11360)

The UCLA East Asian Library (EAL) holds the Gordon W. Prange microforms, an extensive archive collection of 1945-1949 periodicals censored and published in occupied Japan. Using this resource since 2016, the EAL has hosted zadankai 座談会as an open forum for scholars, students, and the community to engage in free discussion on topics related to post-war Japan. This year the EAL invites to its fourth zadankai speakers from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and departments of History, Media and Cultural Studies, and East Asian Studies to discuss about post-war Japan in the Nuclear Age. «Hiroshima/Nagasaki A-Bomb Photo Posters» are concurrently exhibited at the EAL on the 2nd floor of Charles E. Young Research Library (YRL).
