The Africa Channel is a ‘destination' network. It was created to provide a window into modern Africa for American audiences and bring the rich and diverse perspectives of the people of the African continent into U.S. homes.
The Africa Channel is bringing original, fresh and relevant entertainment and informational programming to U.S. audiences in a way that has never been done before. Flagship programming includes Africa Today, the first ever daily television news broadcast to come out of Africa, “Carte Blanche Africa,” the '60 Minutes of Africa,' Africa Within, a travel/lifestyle series with an exotic flair, All You Need is Love, a reality romance series reuniting Africans from all over the continent and the long-running soaps Isidingo-The Need and Generations (not to be confused with the NBC soap bearing the same name).
The Africa Channel will also introduce American audiences to the best in African music as well as classic and contemporary African cinema through its weekly African Cinema Showcase.
