Inspired by true events, Chasing Freedom is the story of an ambitious corporate lawyer who takes on the pro bono case of a young Afghan woman who has fled the repressive Taliban regime to request political asylum in the U.S. The film is a sobering depiction the obstacles that asylum-seekers face in gaining legal protection in this country.
