This K-12 teacher professional development workshop series from 2023-2026 will focus on major themes found in world history curriculum under the California History Social Science Framework. Each workshop aim to provide area studies content and pedagogy training to K-12 teachers in California to help with the classroom instruction of content aligned with the chosen theme. These workshops will give educators an opportunity to hear lectures from scholars to gain more historical knowledge, work with model lessons developed by teacher leaders, and receive training for designing lessons to align with the curriculum framework and standards.
