APA and Mann and Toho present everyone's favorite one-man gang o'green...
The King of Monsters makes his triumphant return to Hollywood, and you, yes you, the faithful APA reader, could very well be left staggering in his wake (Hint: Read on). 50 years ago, the original Godzilla captured the imagination of moviegoers everywhere by introducing a creature who was as terrifying as he was majestic, a symbol of mass destruction and worldwide cacophony. And we lapped it up. Countless sequels and imitators later, he is still the meanest, greenest, fighting machine around, and Mann and Toho are doing everything in their power to make sure he stays that way. On November 28 and 29, be prepared for the send-off to end all send-offs: a Godzilla float at the Hollywood Christmas Parade, to be followed by the world premiere of Godzilla Final Wars--the penultimate installment of a legacy that has spanned over 28 films and seven continents.
Final Wars, directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, a young star known for the action/horror flick Versus, will be screened exclusively at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Why do I mention this? Because, as luck would have it, APA has managed to secure 12 pairs of tickets (one for you, and one for your lucky date) that we are absolutely dying to get off our hands, so long as our readers are willing and able to do whatever we ask of them. Ok, maybe not whatever we ask, but at least, follow these four simple steps en route to submitting an application for the drawing:
1) Name
2) Phone number
3) Email address
4) Tell us, in 25 words or less, what you like or dislike about APA.
Got it? I thought so. Once your app is completed, send it over to ctung@international.ucla.edu BEFORE NOVEMBER 15th. The random drawing will take place shortly thereafter. I repeat: November 15th is the cut-off date. No tardy ticket requests will be processed--absolutely no exceptions. Now go make us proud. Talk us up and in return, we'll take you straight to the dragon's lair.
