This tutorial is for students who are enrolled in a distance learning course using the Elluminate Live! software hosted at http://ccle.ucla.edu
1) Navigate to the course website
The website specific to Susan Bauckus' online Russian 5 (Lecture 2) course can be found at
http://ccle.ucla.edu/course/view.php?id=4573
2) Login
In order to access the Russian 5 course website, you will need to login with your UCLA Logon ID.
a) On the upper right side of your screen, click on the link that says 'Login''
b) Enter your UCLA Logon ID and Password, then click 'Sign in now.'
3) Navigate the moodle page
After you login, you will be directed to the moodle page that has been created specifically for your course. On the right hand side you will see a section titled 'Upcoming Events.' This is where you can join upcoming Elluminate Live! sessions.
Each upcoming class session will be listed by date.
a) Click the name of the session you wish to join.
b) On the following page, click the 'Join Session' link.
4) Loading the course software
After clicking the 'Join Session' link, you may be asked to download a small file called 'meeting.jnlp.'
Make sure select open (or run), then click ok.
After opening this file, you may be warned about the application's digital signature. Be sure to click 'Run' or 'Accept,' otherwise you will be unable to enter the virtual classroom.
After a brief loading period...
... you should gain access to the Elluminate Live! virtual classroom.
