Loy Krathong Festival

Loy Krathong Festival

Knudsen Hall entrance, across from Schoenberg Music Buidling

The Thai Loy Krathong Festival is a traditional celebration honoring the river spirit under the full moon. During this festival, people create beautiful Krathongs, floral offerings that float on the river while asking for forgiveness, happiness, and prosperity. At UCLA, we celebrate the Loy Krathong Festival with Thai traditional live music and dance performances, a beauty pageant, participatory dancing, and various Thai cultural activities and games. We invite you to join us for a fun evening!
