UCLA Center for Near Eastern Studies (CNES) is accepting applications for its Arabic Language Fellowship (Summer 2025) for UCLA undergraduate students, and its Mosafer Fellowship (AY 2025-26) for UCLA graduate students.
Arabic Language Fellowship supports UCLA undergraduate students in any discipline who wish to pursue an intensive summer Arabic language course at UCLA or elsewhere. Applications are accepted from students who have completed at least one prior year of Arabic language training at UCLA, with preference to students who will be in their second or intermediate year of language study during the period of the award. The award amounts vary and cannot exceed $6,000.

Mosafer Centennial Fund Graduate Fellowship for Near Eastern Studies provides financial support to UCLA graduate students to attend conferences or travel for pre-dissertation and dissertation research. Applicants may be students from any discipline. The award amounts vary and cannot exceed $5,000. The fellowships awarded for the AY 2025-26 can be used either in Summer 2025 or in Fall 2025/Winter 2026/Spring 2026.
