Jennifer Manoukian earned her PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2023. Her research explores the social and intellectual history of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire. She is currently at work on her dissertation, which explores the role of purism in the creation of the Western Armenian written standard in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Jennifer Manoukian is the Armenian language instructor and course developer at Rutgers University.
