Hasmik Baghdasaryan is the deputy director of The Promise Armenian Institute at UCLA. Hasmik has nearly a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, working with local as well as international non-profits. She is the development project manager for the Hidden Road Initiative—where she initiated and led kindergarten renovation projects in two underserved villages in Armenia. She earned her master’s degree in Social Enterprise Administration from the Columbia University School of Social Work and completed her undergraduate studies at UC Santa Barbara in Sociology and Slavic Languages and Literature. She is also passionate about Armenian folk culture and is a dancer with the Los Angeles-based Lernazang Cultural Collective and Performance Ensemble.
