On March 31, the UCLA Nazarian Center convened a panel of experts to discuss the recent Israeli election and where the country may be headed. The election ended in a political stalemate with neither longtime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing bloc nor his opponents having secured a majority in the 120-seat Knesset to form a governing coalition.

About the Event

A panel of experts analyzed the March 23, 2021 national election in Israel and addressed a range of issues, based on the results, including what the election means in terms of Israel's political stability. They discussed the many challenges facing a new government and looked at political participation trends and how they compared with other recent elections.
