[Non-CKS] 2021 Online Korean Speech Contest

Enter the 2021 Online Korean Speech Contest hosted by the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles (KCCLA) and the King Sejong Institute Center, USA (KSICUSA) in commemoration of the 575th anniversary of Hangul Day!

To commemorate the 575th anniversary of Hangul Day on October 9, 2021, the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles (KCCLA) and the King Sejong Institute Center, USA (KSICUSA) are pleased to announce that this year's Korean Speech Contest will be in the form of video submissions.  

The competition will be divided into Introductory/Basic and Intermediate/Advanced levels. Contestants must submit video entries by 11:59 PM (PDT) on Friday, October 29, 2021 through e-mail to speechcontest@kccla.org with the completed consent and release form. It should be submitted in MP4 format ONLY. The theme may be on any topic of choice related to the Korean language or culture. 

There are about $6,500 worth of prizes, including a round trip airline ticket (Los Angels (LAX)-Incehon (ICN)), Amazon gift certificates ($500, $250, $100, and $25). KCCLA is going to give special souvenirs to all participants who do not win large prizes.  

To enter the contest, you must be at least 18 years of age and must be a King Sejong Institute student in the US or a Korean learner in the US whose native language is not Korean. Winners will be announced on November 4, 2021 at http://www.kccla.org and https://www.ksicusa.com. Online award ceremony will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021.
