Join Hanoolim KCAG as they recognize Samil Jeol, or the March 1st Movement, one of the most unrecognized and earliest displays of Korean Resistance to colonial occupation. This event will take place over the course of 3-days from February 27th to March 1st.

Event Schedule:

Speaker Panel - 2/27, 6PM-8PM
East Rotunda UCLA Library, 2nd Floor

A speaker panel discussing the history and significance of Samil. the panel is led by Flip Cuddy, Dr. William Chu, and Dave Young Kim, all of whom are descendants of prominent figures of Samil.

Movie Screening - 2/28, 6PM-9PM
Carnesale Commons, Venice Room

A movie screening of Kim Jee-Woon's "Age of Shadows", which re-imagines the events of the Korean Independence Movement.

Samil Day Celebration - 3/1, 11AM-3PM
Bruin Plaza

Join Hanoolim in celebrating the centennial anniversary of Samil Day with food, performances, and a reenactment of the profound Samil march.
