Mariam Ally

Undergraduate Intern

Mariam is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. She has previously earned an Associate Degree in Political Science from Santa Monica College, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Mariam is deeply passionate about international diplomacy and the interplay of global political structures.

Mariam has gained substantial professional experience through various internships. As a Her Bold Move Fellow, she worked on political campaigns, community organizing, and fundraising. In her role as a Social Justice Writer for People’s Vanguard of LA, she researched and authored articles on social justice issues. Her internship at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office involved dispute resolution and mediation, further solidifying her interest in law. She also served as an Immigration Intern at CAIR LA, assisting clients with applications and court-related inquiries.

In her free time, Mariam enjoys binge-watching TV shows, painting, and baking. These activities provide a creative and relaxing balance to her academic and professional pursuits. After graduating, Mariam plans to work in international policy and eventually attend law school. She is eager to learn from esteemed scholars in the field and contribute to impactful global policy changes.
