Jack Garland
Undergraduate Intern
Jack is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Public Affairs and minoring in Entrepreneurship. While at UCLA, he has developed an interest in journalism. He is currently a Senior Editor at the
Bruin Political Review
, UCLA’s nonpartisan political journal, where he writes and edits articles about international relations and armed conflicts. He is the Podcasts Editor at the
Daily Bruin
, producing shows about politics, business, and more. He previously interned at the Academy of Ideas in London, an organization that seeks to bolster public debate by hosting seminars and conferences. In October 2022, he spoke on a panel at the Academy of Idea’s flagship event, the Battle of Ideas. After graduation, Jack intends on pursuing a career in journalism with an emphasis on foreign policy.
