Undergraduate Intern

Nitya Mehta is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Global Studies and minoring in Environmental Systems and Society. Having been born and raised in Panama to Indian parents, she has always been exposed to different cultures, and interested in being a citizen of the world. She developed her passion for international relations during her years as a member of her high school debate team, and explored her interest for environmental studies upon moving to Los Angeles for college. As an international student, she currently represents her country as an International Student Ambassador at the Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars, where she works with other ambassadors to amplify the international student community’s voice on campus. When she is not working at Burkle or Dashew events, you can find her singing around campus and performing at collegiate a cappella competitions, or exploring the food and music scene in LA.
