Swan Ye Htut
Undergraduate Intern
Swan Ye Htut is a third-year student double-majoring in Sociology and Global Studies. Born and raised in Myanmar (Burma), Swan moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 8. Although he grew up with the likes of Cartoon Network and Disney Channel, he still considers his Burmese roots very important to him. Currently, he is pursuing a career in academics due to his desire to contribute to higher education and perform research on how globalization affects people and societies. Outside of the classroom, Swan can be found taking dance workshops in the parking lots of UCLA or welcoming new admits through the Southeast Asian Admit weekend.
