Leslie Johns

Professor Johns' research focuses upon the intersection of international law and international relations. She has investigated the unique role of international organizations in resolving interstate disputes, and has written for journals such as International Organization and Journal of Conflict Resolution. She is also the author of Strengthening International Courts: The Hidden Costs of Legalization (University of Michigan Press, 2015).

Dr. Johns is a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations (2012–2017), and was previously a Visiting Associate Research Fellow at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University (2012–2013).
