ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Christiane Amanpour is host of AMANPOUR and chief international correspondent for CNN. Previously, she was the global affairs anchor at ABC News. Her illustrious career in journalism spans three decades. Her international reporting began in 1990 as a correspondent for CNN where she reported on international crisis in the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, North Korea, Palestinian territories, Iran, Sudan, Israel, Pakistan, Somalia, Rwanda, the Balkans, Egypt, Libya.

She has interviewed most of the top world leaders over the past two decades and Amanpour has received every major broadcast award, including an inaugural Television Academy Award, ten News and Documentary Emmys, four George Foster Peabody Awards, and nine honorary degrees. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and an Honorary Citizen of Sarajevo. Amanpour is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

 

PARKING AND DIRECTIONS

Parking will be available in Lot 4. From the 405 Freeway, exit at Sunset Blvd East. Follow Sunset Blvd and take a right turn at Westwood Plaza. Go straight, past Charles. E Young Drive to arrive at the parking and information kiosk. Purchase a parking permit for Lot 4 with the attendant, then enter into Lot 4 on your left. 

 

GUIDELINES FOR ALL GUESTS

  • Arrive early, doors open at 4:30 pm
  • There will be a stand-by line on the day of the event. 
  • Pay-by-Space parking spaces are available (cash or credit card) in Lot 4. All day parking passes can also be purchased from an information kiosk for $12 (cash only). Handicap parking is available in Lot 5.
  • No bulky video equipment or flash photography permitted. 
  • No food or beverages permitted inside Korn Convocation Hall.
