How can I submit my application?

Please fill out this application form and upload your required documentation to the form.

All documentation must include your First Name and Last Name in the file name.

If you need to mail us original transcripts, please use the following address:

When you upload your application, make sure it is complete and includes all transcripts and materials. If a transcript is being mailed and/or a recommender is emailing a letter, please make a note of that in your application materials. Should there be a delay with transcripts or letters of recommendations, please also let us know. We can only review your application once we have received all materials.

 

What types of recommenders are allowed?

You may submit a letter of recommendation from a professor, advisor, mentor, etc.  

 

How would you like me to handle the letters of recommendation?

Please ask your recommenders to email their recommendation letter directly to burkle@international.ucla.edu and write your name and Alice Belkin Scholarship in the subject line.

 

 How and when will I be notified about the status of my application?

We make every effort to review all applicants thoroughly and in a timely manner. That said, the review process can take several weeks. All applicants will be notified of the selection results via the email they provide on their application, therefore it is important that you type or write your email address legibly.

 

How will the scholarship be applied?

If you are selected, we will contact your department's finance office, and transfer the funds directly to your department.

 

What should I write about in my personal statement?

We ask that you include the following: 1) personal background, 2) career goals, and 3) confirmation of the eligibility requirements. This is also a place for you tell us about yourself; use it to include anything not already represented elsewhere in your application. Additionally do not forget to include your CV (see application form for more information).
