New North to Benefit From Global Warming

UCLA professor of geography Laurence Smith was interviewed Friday on the syndicated radio program "Coast to Coast AM" about his new book, "The World in 2050: Four Forces Shaping Civilization's Northern Future," which argues that climate change and other global pressures will make Canada, Scandinavia, Russia and the northern United States formidable economic powers and migration magnets in the coming decades.
