Kantathi Suphamongkhon, senior fellow at the Burkle Center for International Relations and visiting professor of law and diplomacy at UCLA, served as Thailand’s equivalent to U.S. secretary of state from March 11, 2005 to Sept. 19, 2006. He was the 39th minister of foreign affairs for Thailand until a military coup d’état forced him out of office.
