Welcome to UCLA's New Language Classroom. The Internet now provides instant access to world languages and facilitates cross-cultural encounters that were unthinkable a short time ago. Technology is advancing at such a rapid pace that language instructors find it challenging to keep up with this resource.
The goal of the New Language Classroom is to provide a community where language educators can share how they are using technology to promote language learning. It opens classroom doors so visitors can come inside and observe how technology is used in the classroom environment. All the language instructors profiled here aim to expose learners to authentic language as it's spoken in real-world settings. Student interviews are included to explore their thoughts on language learning with new media.
