Interdisciplinary Working Groups
UCLA faculty and students and scholars from Latin America and other parts of the world have formed Working Groups in political economy, education and culture, arts and humanities, and public health and environment. Participation is open to all interested faculty, students, and scholars. You are encouraged to contact the faculty chairs of the Working Groups for further details about the groups' activities. The Working Groups host interdisciplinary research workshops. These meetings constitute a space for academic deliberation and feature classroom lectures, seminars, and public lectures by distinguished Latin American scholars and artists.

UCLA Latin American Institute
The UCLA Latin American Institute, situated in a major U.S. gateway to the region, is committed to excellence in its exchange of knowledge with students, specialists, and the surrounding community. The Institute equips leaders and scholars with the information and skills required for understanding complex Latin American societies.
