Former Israeli Chief Justice Visits UCLA for Exclusive Lecture

In a special appearance, the former Chief Justice of Israel's Supreme Court, Aharon Barak, will discuss human rights in Israel.

Known for his independence, Aharon Barak placed human rights at the forefront of his decisions during his 11-year service as head of the Israeli Supreme Court. In 2002 Barak noted, "I must take human rights seriously during times of both peace and conflict. I must not make do with the mistaken belief that, at the end of the conflict, I can turn back the clock."

Cost: Free and open to the public.
