Center Visiting Assistant Professor Daniel Stein Kokin's Fall 2017 class "Symbolic Places and Spaces in Modern Israel and the Palestinian Territories" introduced students of diverse backgrounds and interests to sites that have played - and continue to play - a critical role in the shaping of Israeli and Palestinian national identity. Two students from the course spoke with the Center about the deep insights they gained into the complex nature of these places and their role in society - in addition to speaking about the timeliness of the themes explored in the course.
