Hebrew University Professor Hagit Lavsky, the Nazarian Center Visiting Scholar for Winter and Spring quarters of 2011, talks about her experiences teaching at UCLA.

Hagit Lavsky's research focuses on the history of modern Israel and the Zionist movement.  She taught two undergraduate courses in 2011, on Arab-Jewish relations during the mandate (pre-state) period and on Jerusalem.   

Hagit Lavsky is Professor Emerita at the Avraham Harman Institute of Contemporary Jewry, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she held the Samuel L. and Perry Haber Chair of Post-Holocaust Studies, and was Director of the Bernard Cherrick Center for the Study of Zionism, the Yishuv and the State of Israel.
