Setting Internet Options Security to "High"

A recent internet worm requires you to set your internet options security to "high" so that viruses cannot access your data. Netscape, other Mozilla builds, and Opera browsers are not affected. Setting the security setting to high may reduce some of Internet Explorer's functionality, so try using Netscape if some websites stop working. The following article shows how to set your settings to "high".

  1. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools-->Internet Options

  2. Select the Security tab

  3. Click on Default Level

  4. Slide the toggle up to "High" security. Click OK to exit
