CERS GRANTS FOR GRADUATE STUDENT CONFERENCES

CERS offers grants of up to $1,000 for conferences organized by UCLA graduate students in the fields of European and Russian studies. Priority is given to projects that focus on the modern and contemporary periods, as well as new initiatives and annual events in their first three years. Relevant application materials must demonstrate how the project will advance knowledge of European or Russian societies, histories, or cultures.

To apply for a conference grant, student organizers must submit a project description, an itemized budget, and a letter of endorsement from a faculty sponsor. Application materials should be sent to CERS Executive Director Liana Grancea.

Application deadlines:
June 15 – for conferences scheduled to take place in the fall quarter
October 15 – for conferences scheduled to take place in the winter and spring quarters
