James Gelvin to Participate in Istanbul World Forum

Professor James Gelvin has been invited to the First Istanbul World Forum.

He joins a distinguished group of world leaders including Recep Erdogan, prime minister of Turkey; Fayez Al-Tarawneh, prime minister of Jordan; Mohammad Khatemi, former president of Iran; Haris Silajdzic, head of the presidential council of Bosnia-Herzegovina; Rashid al-Ghannoushi, the leader of the ruling Nahda party of Tunisia; Deepak Lal, Tariq Ramadan, and Michael Lerner.

He is one of only a dozen academics invited to the conference.
