Millie is currently a writer and editorial coordinator at the American Press Institute, a research think tank focused on finding a path forward for sustainable public service journalism. Most recently, she was the multimedia coordinator on the news team at the Council on Foreign Relations, where she wrote, edited and produced a weekly show. Prior to that, she helped launch National Journal’s Membership program as a marketing and design associate. She is also a graduate of the Atlantic Media fellowship program.
Millie earned her BA in Global Studies with a minor in Geography. While at UCLA, she served as a tech columnist, opinion editor, and multimedia producer at the Daily Bruin. She also wrote her senior honors thesis on cyber warfare and taught a seminar on the same subject with Alexandra Lieben as advisor. This is her fifth year working as a student-worker or freelancer for the Burkle Center as multimedia editor.
