Karla Renschler is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Global Studies. She is originally from Aachen, Germany but grew up in San Diego, California. Karla is most interested in international affairs, economic development, and human rights. She was a Burkle Center intern last year and is returning to serve as the Intern Captain this year, where she will help train and lead the team of interns in holding events for the Burkle Center. At UCLA, Karla is also a member of Rotaract Club, where she is the Community Service Chair, and a member of Model United Nations. After graduating from UCLA, she hopes to get a Masters degree in international relations or sustainable development and to work for the United Nations. Outside of school, Karla enjoys hiking, sailing, reading, and writing.
