Anthropologist teaches UCLA courses related to Southeast Asia in 2006-07.

David Blundell, Associate Professor in Social Sciences for Taiwan Studies, and Languages and Cultures, at National Chengchi University, Taiwan, taught courses in Fall 2006 and Summer 2007 for International Development Studies with Southeast Asia source content. In Spring 2007 he offered Buddhism as Myth, Liberator, and Power in Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka in the UCLA Interdepartmental Program in Southeast Asian Studies. He was simultaneously a Visiting Scholar in the UCLA Center for Southeast Asian Studies, and continuing his research on Mapping Languages and Cultures of the Asia Pacific, and Editor at the Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative (ECAI) for Pacific languages.
