Jessica Breiteneicher Elkind
Historian of Vietnam taught two SEA courses at UCLA in 2006-07.

Jessica Elkind taught two Southeast Asian Studies courses at UCLA in 2006-07. In Fall 2006 she taught a History department undergraduate seminar entitled "The U.S., Vietnam, and War." In Winter 2007 she taught a seminar on "Southeast Asian Nationalism in Popular Culture" in the Southeast Asian Studies Interdepartmental Program.
Dr. Elkind received her Ph.D. in History from UCLA in 2005 with a dissertation on the history of Vietnam in the 20th century. She has a long association with the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, having been a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowship recipient during her graduate student years.
