Berkshire Conference of Women Historians Book and Article Prize

The Berkshire Conference of Women Historians announces two prizes for works published in 2005, one for an article and one for a first book, in any field of history, by a woman normally resident in North America. Books and articles need not focus on women's history. The book prize carries a cash award of $1000 and the article prize $500. The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2006, and winners will be announced in June 2006.
For the Article Prize, please send THREE copies of the article, along with a cover letter with contact information, to:

For the Book Prize, please ask your publisher to send ONE copy of the book, along with a cover letter indicating the contact person at the press, to:

If a book makes it past the first round the publisher will be asked to send FOUR additional copies.
