Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel to Speak April 9 on "Making War and Peace in the Middle East"
Martin Indyk, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel and now director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institute, to address UCLA Burkle Forum.

Martin Indyk, U.S. Ambassador to Israel,1995-97 and 2000-01, will speak on "Making War and Peace in the Middle East" on Wednesday, April 9th, at 4:00 pm, in Schoenberg Hall. His talk a presentation of the Burkle Forum.
The talk is free and open to the public.
Martin Indyk is currently Senior Fellow, Foreign Policy Studies and Director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institute. He served also as Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs, U.S. Department of State 1997-2000); Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Near East and South Asian Affairs, National Security Council (1993-95); Executive Director, Washington Institute for Near East Policy; and Adjunct Professor, Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Indyk's presentation is part of the UCLA International Institute's ongoing commitment to providing a campus forum for the wide range of views about key international issues. The Burkle Forum is sponsored by the Ronald W. Burkle Center for International Relations.
