Funds for Field Research
University Research Expeditions Program (UREP)
Published: Wednesday, December 01, 2004
Description
UREP provides funds and field assistance to UC researchers worldwide, while promoting public involvement in and understanding of the University's research role. UREP funds can be used for short or long-term field research, as seed money for new research, or to extend continuing projects, supplement other grants and support graduate students or additional staff. Research projects that involve specimen collection, field observations, photography or surveying are particularly suited to UREP funding. Rersearchers selected for funding usually receive support for travel expenses, staff and participant field costs, and all or part of other research expenses.
