Duration of Lesson: 7 Days

Grade Level: 9th Grade

Rationale: To re-evaluate the dsicourse of Black History and the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Lesson Objectives:

1.      Students will demonstrate an understanding that black Africans were never ignorant.

2.      Students will be able to write a well structured essay on the character traits of Nelson Mandela.

3.      Students will be able to demonstrate there critical thinking skills orally and through writing.
