Statement from the UCLA Latin American Institute

Today’s decision by the Trump administration to end TPS for nearly 200,000 Salvadorans devastates us and our community.

It is disappointing that this administration has terminated programs that place TPS recipients from Nicaragua, Haiti and now El Salvador at the risk of deportation when the US has become their home.

For TPS holders seeking legal help or information, The Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) has provided a hotline number (213) 814-5248. Follow CARECEN-LA on their Facebook and Twitter pages for up to date information on community forums and legal information.
