UCLA lab and PKU postdoc create better solar cells
Postdoc scholar from Peking University helps UCLA team improve solar cell efficiency, highlighting the research efforts of PKU-UCLA Joint Research Institute.
The Joint Research Institute (JRI) of Peking University (PKU) and UCLA, housed within UCLA’s International Institute, facilitates collaborations on projects of global concern in science and engineering between the two universities. Annual joint publications have risen from 2 in 2010 to 12 in 2013 to 8 already in 2014.
JRI also encourages undergraduate and graduate student exchanges in an effort to train future science and engineering leaders with a global perspective.
The following article from the UCLA Newsroom covers recent groundbreaking publications from the lab of UCLA Professor Yang Yang on the increased efficiency of solar cells. The lab’s team of researchers includes postdoctoral scholar Huanping Zhou, from PKU.
