Join us for a webinar hosted by UCSD's Center for Comparative Immigration Studies and the National Day Labor Organizing Network. Co-organized with the UC Davis Global Migration Center, the UCLA Center for the Study of International Migration, and the UC Berkeley Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative. ICE arrests are up, and the Trump government is not slowing down. Midterm elections will bring new dynamics locally, statewide, and nationally. This panel will assess immigration enforcement in the California border region, its weaponization for other purposes, immigrants' experiences under current enforcement, and key priority areas for Sacramento and Washington, DC. Speakers will address their work in San Diego County and identify spaces of urgency or opportunity in the coming months.
